Fall 2007 – Trip to Monticello

We love to go hang out in Monticello (Utah). It is a lot cooler than Vegas, and time seems to go slower there. This fall we got to go there and try out our four-wheelers (plus a few Grandpa had out at the ranch). The kids had sooooo much fun! Ok…the parents did too :-) .

Monticello sits on the foothills of the Blue Mountains in Southeastern Utah. The elevation is 7400 feet. You can look off toward the east and see the mountains of Colorado where Cortez and Durango, Colorado are.

Hannah Montana Concert

We got to take the whole family (plus Cousin Lisa) to see Hannah Montana when she was here in Las Vegas in January. It was a fun time for just about everyone…Donovan wasn’t so sure about it though…he got a headache because it was soooo loud. But overall we had a GREAT time!

Actually, four of us were together together there…four of us were a row up and a little bit more to the side….and Liz and Megan were across the stadium from us. We got a killer deal on the tickets 50 minutes before the show started…but they couldn’t put all 10 of us together :-) .

“Living it Large” in Vegas

We are trying to enjoy some of the fun that Vegas has to offer…while at the same time trying to stay away from the scary things it has to offer.

Frank and Shayne get to go on “Date Night” each week and have had some great experiences. Below are some photos of a couple of our nights” out on the town:

LEFT: Frank watching the water show in front of the Belagio on “The Strip.”

LEFT: We got to participate in the version of “The Price is Right” that they do in Vegas. Neither of us got called up to be participants…but it was still fun.
LEFT: We LOVE the (free) water show at the Belagio…can’t get enough of it.

LEFT: The replica of the Eiffel Tower…it’s half the normal size. It’s fun to watch the Belagio watershow from up there too (it’s across the street).

LEFT: We got free tickets to see “The Producers” with Tony Danza playing the lead role. We had no idea what the content was…and were a little surprised…but overall it was a good presentation.Above: Shayne took Grandma Slade to see “Blue Man Group” at the Venetian in March. It was a great show!
