Coke World with Gr & Gr Slade

After all of the festivities, we still had time for a little bit of non-Christmas fun. We took Grandma and Grandpa Slade to downtown Atlanta to check out “The World of Coca-Cola.” Part of the tour includes a room that has like 60 different fountain drinks that they sell around the world at your disposal. You can drink as much as you want. Some of them are REALLY gross and others are good. I definitely couldn’t try all of them. I was sick after just a few. But the kids loved it.  (Mikayla didn’t go with us)

Stone Mountain – with Grandma & Grandpa Slade

Grandma and Grandpa Slade are visiting from Utah for a week. We needed to show them the exciting stuff to do around town, so we took them to Stone Mountain. It was the first time I had ever been there (Frank had been there once before a long time ago). It is only a 35 minute drive from our house and there are a lot of cool things for the family to do. We snuck off while the kids were at school to check it out. We are excited to take them back and try everything out.

They were having a big Yellow Daisy Festival while we were there (so it took 15 minutes to get from the front entrance to where we were going to park). But that worked out well for us because everyone was at the festival and no one was riding the tram to the top of the Hill (I’m sorry, but having grown up in Utah, I just can’t call that little hill a mountain ;-) ….so we didn’t have to fight crowds for anything.

Check out their website:

Hunt Family Reunion on the Kaibab 2008

We love to go to the Hunt Reunion each year on the Kaibab (in Northwestern Arizona)!!

This is my mother’s side of the family (just her immediate family and all their kids and their kids and so on). She has 11 siblings that are living…so there are plenty of aunts and uncles and cousins to go around. This was our first year without both Grandma and Grandpa being there though. It seemed very weird without them.
