WINTER 2011 Misc.
Here are just a few of the many things we have been up to since 2011 started:
This picture was taken during the crazy snow/ice storm we had in early January 2011 (just a house on our street). There were a couple of days where everything looked like it had a shiny glaze over it. I think the snow would just barely get above freezing for the day and then freeze again quickly - that's my theory. But everything had this beautiful sheen to it as you drove down the road. It was beautiful!
Our family was able to help out a member of our ward (church) family one day in January. We all got together and helped clean up their backyard. That's Mikayla up in the tree! I about died when I saw her up there!

It's always sad when a missionary leaves us. Elder Smith was with us a long time...so it was really sad to see him go.

There was a hawk flying around our yard for several days. This is the hawk sitting in a tree...watching us.

PJ got bored one day and created what I call a "contraption." It is all the little things he has been saving (for some reason) that he doesn't know what to do with.

Liz loves to do hair for other people. This is one of her friends from high school. Liz did her hair for a pageant she was in at school

Sophie is a pretty cute dog. She’s highly energetic! This is her playing with a balloon from Ashley’s birthday party.
We don’t really know what kind of dog she is. We got her from the pound a year and a half ago as a puppy. The vet speculates she has some Jack Russell Terrier in her (HYPER!). Donovan was watching a TV show once about German Short-haired Pointers and realized she was much like those dogs. He ended up doing a report on them at school and all of the info seems to match up to Sophie (“…highly energetic and they become neurotic if they don’t get exercise”). She’s a natural hunter too. She loves to chase squirrels up trees and she goes crazy when there are deer in the yard.
**NOTE: We don’t typically have our freezer in the living room…but we had just had our tile done in the laundry room where it usually sits, and we hadn’t moved it back yet.
