The holidays are always a very busy time…so much going on…but also a magical time. Here are some of our goings on during all of that craziness.
We went Christmas Shopping at Toys R Us in December. Liz went crazy as we were leaving when she saw a firetruck! You knows she loves her some firetrucks!
This is Megan at Toys R Us...having fun...
...and Megan at school...what is that on your head, Megan?!
Our Young Women (from Church) got to go ice skating in December. I even got out there...I was really slow...but it was fun...I didn't fall once! (L to R: Eileen, Mikayla, Janna, Chanelle & Megan)

At the end of each year our Young Women at church (ages 12-18) have an event called "Young Women in Excellence." At this event we celebrate their accomplishments in a program called "Personal Progress" in which they makes goals and work to achieve them. One of our Young Women did the whole program for us to do one of her required 10 hour projects. She did a GREAT job. The theme was "Color Me Beautiful."
The girls displayed things that they had created and/or accomplished throughout the year.
This is Liz's display. Her last project is making a blanket out of all of her cool T-shirts she has had through the years that mean a lot to her. She is THIS close to being done with it.
Megan was part of the program. She recited a poem.
This is funny because near the end of her part, she saw that Melissa was taking a picture of her...she quickly gave a posing smile (what you see here)...and then didn't miss a beat and went on with what she was saying. It was funny.
Alex sang and Sariah played the flute...the girls also display their talents for us.
Mikayla and I filling out our personality questionnaire...
Vanessa, looking beautiful, as always...
Megan has picked up a little piano and has actually played a couple of times for opening exercises...
For dessert we had ice cream with sprinkles - to go along with the COLOR theme...
Liz got hot rollers for Christmas...and couldn't wait to try them out!
