September ’09 Happenings

September was a busy month…what month isn’t?  As always, there was a lot going on.

He likes that fact that he is near the San Antonio Temple and gets to attend once in while...since our temple is closed here for 18 months. Dale Murphy instituted "Mormon Night" at the Major League Baseball games and Frank was in attendance at the very first one they had here in ATL. One of the highlights of this night was hearing the 100+ choir of missionaries sing "Armies of Helaman." It was amazing! Of course, Dale Murphy was pretty cool too :-).

They had a lot of fun on it for about a week until it fell apart and no one felt like putting it back together. We had a few spills on it as well...but a lot of fun. Ashley in School Talent Show

Ashley has no fear of the limelight!  When she found out that there was a talent show coming up at school, she signed up and THEN figured out what she would do for it….Liz taught her a dance that she had learned a few years ago.

The talent show was REALLY long…but there were tons of cute kids doing cute things….probably 50% of them were kids performing as Michael Jackson.  I got a few photos of the other kids too…

Megan Plays Volleyball

Megan was on her High School JV volleyball team this year (she is a Freshman).  She went in having not really played before except for church ball a few times.  She learned a LOT during the season and the coaches named her the Most Improved Player of the season.  Her team won the JV tournament for our area as well.  She’s excited to work all year to improve for next year.
