Visit to Panola State Park

I can’t believe we have lived in Georgia for almost 7 months now!! Where does the time go??

We are still in the “Discovery Phase” though. There is a lot of exploring that we need to do just right around our home (then we will have to branch out even more). There are a lot of state parks close by and a lot of “outdoorsy” things to do. So, we are going to try and get out there and do some of them while the weather is beautiful and before the humidity and bugs come back.

So, in early February we checked out Panola Mountain State Park, which is pretty close to us. Mikayla was visiting a friend, but the rest of us set out for some adventure.

Above: Trekking toward the Visitor’s Center. They had some cool live and stuffed animals to look at.

Above: We set out on a trail toward a spot where we could see an “outcropping of granite” (that’s big around here). Even though the ground is VERY rocky around here, you don’t typically see much besides trees.

Above: “Go long!”
Above: Donovan showcasing his version of “The Safety Dance.” (see…he DOES smile)

Above: Megan (14) and Liz (16)….best friends….

Above: Nice throw.

Above: VIDEO ALERT…PJ getting his groove thang on….This is not something the average person usually gets to see!
