Georgia Househunting Trip
We got to spend a week in Conyers (GA) Househunting. It was a lot more difficult than we thought it would be. We had done a ton of research online before we went, but it’s a different game when you actually get there and can see what’s what. But we were very happy with what we finally ended up choosing (see other Blog entry).
Frank’s whole family lives in Georgia…which makes the move easier and funner. Frank’s sister and her family live right in Conyers, where we will be living. We are excited to live by them…and the kids will have “built-in cousins!” Plus, Franks parents and brother (and his family) live a few hours away on the coast. We are all excited to get to know them all better!
Above: We got to go downtown Atlanta and visit “Underground Atlanta.” For a description of it, see: http://www.underground-atlanta.com/
Above: Note my frizzy hair!! That’s what I will be looking like from now on
. The humidity is a killer on curly hair…and they said “You think THIS is humid…this is Nothing!” when I was there. I’m in for it
.
Above: This is downtown Atlanta where Frank will be working. He will have an hour commute one way to get to work each day. But we figured it would be worth it to be in a nice area to raise the kids…plus it’s way better than flying back and forth across 3 time zones each weekend
.

That is so great that you will have family near by. That helps a lot with a new move and area. I’m sure you will adapt quickly (except maybe the humidity).
